Accredited CBT Psychotherapy for Perfectionism and Sustained Pressure
Reduce Mental Overload
Learn how to quiet constant overthinking, self-criticism, and internal pressure without lowering your standards.
Function More Sustainably
Develop ways of working and coping that reduce exhaustion and burnout while maintaining effectiveness.
Switch Off Without Guilt
Address the difficulty of resting or disengaging when you feel responsible, driven, or “on” all the time.
For professionals and those who feel constantly switched “ON”
We help people whose internal experience doesn’t match their external success — where pressure, self-criticism and relentless standards have taken a toll.
Therapy offers a structured and confidential space to understand how unhelpful patterns developed, what continues to maintain them, and how they can be approached differently. The aim is not to reduce ambition or capability, but to help you function more sustainably, with greater clarity and less internal strain.
We also work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, and low mood when these difficulties begin to affect daily functioning, work, or relationships.
Who is this right for?
This work is particularly suited to people who recognise themselves in one or more of the following:
You hold high internal standards and tend towards perfectionism
You are a professional experiencing ongoing pressure, overwork, or early burnout
You find it difficult to switch off or rest without guilt
You often feel responsible for others and struggle to prioritise yourself
You experience anxiety or low mood that affects work, relationships, or day-to-day functioning
How to access?
We offer online appointments from the convenience of your home or office. As long as you are in a space where you feel comfortable to talk and have a strong internet connection.
We also offer a spacious private therapy room located at the top of Hitchin’s beautiful town centre.
What do you need?
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious, low in mood, emotionally exhausted, or simply aware that something isn’t working as it used to.
You do not need to have a clear label or be in crisis to seek support. If difficulties are affecting your wellbeing, relationships, or ability to function day to day, therapy may be helpful.
