A Thoughtful, Structured Approach to CBT Psychotherapy

Elsali CBT is a small, focused CBT psychotherapy practice. We provide structured, evidence-based therapy for adults experiencing perfectionism, sustained pressure, anxiety, stress, and low mood.

Our work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and shaped by an understanding of how high standards, responsibility, and internal pressure can develop over time. We aim to offer therapy that is thoughtful, collaborative, and appropriately paced.

Our Clinical Approach

We work within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework, tailoring therapy to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. Sessions are structured and purposeful, with regular review to ensure the work remains relevant and effective.

We place particular emphasis on understanding:

  • What has led to current difficulties

  • What continues to maintain them

  • What needs to change for therapy to be useful

Our focus is not on removing ambition or capability, but on helping people function more sustainably and with greater clarity.

Who We Work With

We work primarily with adults who appear to be coping externally but feel internally driven, mentally overloaded, or unable to fully switch off.

Many of the people we work with are professionals managing high levels of responsibility, pressure, or self-expectation. Alongside this specialist focus, we also work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, or low mood when these difficulties begin to interfere with daily functioning, work, or relationships.

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many clients come when they recognise that their current ways of coping are no longer sustainable.

What to Expect

Therapy begins with an initial assessment, which provides time to explore your difficulties in depth and to consider whether working together feels appropriate.

From there, therapy may continue on a session-by-session basis or within a structured programme, depending on your needs and preferences. Throughout, we aim to provide a calm, confidential space to support understanding, change, and longer-term sustainability.

We work ethically and in line with professional guidelines. Confidentiality, clear boundaries, and respect for individual differences are central to our work.
