Meet Our Therapists

Our Therapists

Elsali CBT is led by a small team of therapists who share the same clinical values and approach.

You will work with a named therapist throughout your therapy. Care is not shared between clinicians without your knowledge or agreement, and all therapists work within the same evidence-based framework and professional standards.

Each therapist is appropriately trained, professionally registered, and committed to ongoing supervision and development.

Reviews

At the end of treatment we ask our clients one question…What would you say to the next client?

Female, Age 26
"As someone who was quite sceptical of the benefits of CBT and therapy in general, I can say that CBT has been a huge help in helping me identify, understand and accept my emotions and world views. It’s taught me to view situations and life through a more curious and compassionate lens, and while it can seem quite daunting and challenging to begin with, it’s important to persist because through doing so I really feel like I now have the tools to bring out the best and happiest version of myself!"

"I am a man in his early 50's and have always had the strong belief that mental health issues such as anxiety, depression etc. were primarily a weakness and you need to get over it. I was also of the belief that as a man I was not to show any emotions (Again a weakness) or to ask for help. Recent events made me reconsider this position and after taking some advise off friends and family, I sought help through therapy. The therapy sessions made me look at my personal beliefs, the way I view myself, others and the world in general in a new way. During the sessions I had to relive some of the hardest moments in my life and face situations which I was avoiding. The sessions are not easy however, the benefits totally outweigh the difficulties and strong emotions I faced. I honestly do not know if I would be here now to write this if I had not sought help, however I do know for certain that without the therapy sessions I would not be as happy, content with life and able to face future difficulties as I am at present. This process has changed my life and it is visible to my friends and family. If anyone is struggling with any mental health issues, I would encourage them to seek help."

“I didn’t know what to expect from therapy, I just knew I needed some help making sense of things. What I received was a safe, non-judgemental space to unpack my thoughts and emotions, examine them with objectivity and compassion and re-organise them in a healthier, more positive way. Both my therapist and the overall customer experience far exceeded my expectations. Therapy has given me the tools to be more resilient, more at peace with myself and happier with how I fit into the world.”

I highly recommend Sandra as a therapist. She’s been so professional, kind, friendly and supportive throughout my therapy journey. To be honest, prior to our first session I was very sceptical whether it would help with my trauma, but I decided to give myself last chance to change my life for better and restructure my mind and beliefs. Back then I couldn’t quite understand how just talking to someone could make any difference, but after the experience I can truly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. If anyone out there is having the same doubts or worries as me, then please try and contact Sandra. She’s changed my life and I know she doesn’t want to take any credit for it, but I’ll be forever grateful for God sending her my way.

“Having not tried talking therapy before I wasn’t sure what to expect however Sandra was instrumental in my recovery from a very low place. She guided me through some very tough times and introduced me to new tools and ways of challenging my thinking. This has enabled me to not only recover but also be a much better version of myself. I would highly recommend Sandra to anyone that is looking to take a deep dive on past experiences that have shaped the way we think but also looking to improve their mental health wellbeing into the future.”

"My therapist has been fully supportive, understanding of me and my situation. Understood why I was feeling this anxiety. My therapist made everything tailored to me and helped me to understand why I was experiencing my anxiety and then helped me to learn how to challenge myself. My therapist fully took time to listen to my situation and I can't thank her enough."
Female, Age 17
"I have had such a positive experience with therapy, and I believe that it has really helped me – I feel much more equipped to deal with situations and can see a clear difference in my behavior before and after treatment. I think that I really managed to connect with my therapist who was genuinely really lovely and provided great advice/treatment. We worked through things at a good pace where I was able to build up to do more difficult tasks and make progress without me even noticing at first! My therapist was so lovely and helpful and someone that I could be honest and authentic around, which I think was the key reason as to why I got on so well with this treatment."
Male, Age 15
"Give it a go and try your best, that's all anyone can ask. you will be pushed into uncomfortable situations but the techniques will help you for life."
Female, Age 33
"I found Sandra at a time when I was struggling with anxiety and low mood, stuck in a cycle of worry, over thinking and uncertainty on how to move forward. Sandra was the exact therapist that I needed, but that I didn’t know existed. Many therapists focus on searching through your childhood to understand the route course, but this doesn’t help when you need to actually change and manage your behaviours to make lasting change; here is where Sandra was amazing. Sandra helped me to understand the cycle that I go through, why I go through it, the triggers, unhelpful thought patterns and most importantly how to change my behaviour patterns and coping techniques that would eventually become my new normal. Sandra has a way of teaching you lessons, illustrating them with a story and all in a way that is supportive but also strong and makes you really listen. I found it very easy to remember and make the changes required, which can be really difficult to do. Sandra also sends many resources, videos and book options to supplement learning and she is incredibly responsive and always follows through with what she promises in a timely manner i.e she will send anything she said she would immediately after your session. I will forever be grateful for Sandra's help and support. If you are considering Sandra as a therapist, do not hesitate, she helped change my life."
